International Agriculture Innovation Conference (IAIC) is an annual conference that has been running since 2016 organized by International Association for Agricultural Sustainability (IAAS). The IAIC conferences are devoted to presenting and examining various issues that are related to current problems seen in agriculture. Furthermore, we are an international platform for knowledge and techniques transformation to focus on agriculture for Innovation, Sustainability, Technology and Investment to bring together the dynamic exchange of ideas about agriculture field in the world.
The 7th IAIC 2022 will take place on 2-3 September, 2022 and specially address the key themes. We look forward to exchange of ideas and facilitation of partnerships in IAIC 2022.
The online conference was kicked off by a speech from Prof. Tzong-Ru Lee, Chairman of International Association for Agricultural Sustainability (IAAS) who served as a Professor at the Department of Marketing, National Chung Hsing University, Taiwan. He thanked the co-organisers, as well as the scholars, experts, and researchers from around the world who were willing to take the time to participate in this conference.
Professor Michel Hernould from the University of Bordeaux and Professor Yves Waché from L’Institut Agro Dijon took a holistic view of the problems faced by French vineyards, wines, and cheeses in terms of fermentation and quality due to the impact of climate warming, as well as the solutions to cope with them. This topic has also been extended by other speakers.
Five main themes were explored at the conference this year, including: “The impact of climate change on agricultural and resilient agriculture,” “The roles of international agricultural organisations in developing countries,” “The output of IP right of agricultural science,” “Fermentation science and the development trend of food technology in the future,” and “Application of artificial intelligence in agricultural digital twins.”
A total of 23 prestigious scholars and experts from the world’s five continents were invited to the conference to extend the topics in their own fields of specialisation. Governments, international agricultural organisations, scholars, and research institutions are looking for the most suitable solutions and approaches for the motives and modes of sustainable agricultural development in the new era.
International Association for Agricultural Sustainability (IAAS) invited a number of international agricultural organisations to present “papers” at this year’s conference to inform attendees about the current status of the organisations and the latest trends and challenges in the field.
Those organisations include CGIAR, ICID, CORAF, FARA, IFNH, FANRPAN, VAAS, NIPM, SEWA, AND TAP. During the panel discussion on the second day of the conference, invited representatives of international agricultural organisations gathered to present and discuss solutions to the problems and challenges faced by their countries or regions.
At the same time, our Asian family business delegation, led by Dr Tan Wee Liang, Vice Chairman of the International Association for Agricultural Sustainability, who served as the Associate Professor of Strategic Management at Singapore Management University (SMU), was on their fifth day of the mission trip in France.
They made a visit to meet and exchange with family business representatives and agricultural entrepreneurs in cities, such as Lille, Beauvais and Bordeaux. The delegation was composed of family business representatives from Singapore, Indonesia, Taiwan, and other places.
The local tour in France was arranged and coordinated by five co-organisers, which are: EDHEC Business School Family Business Centre, UniLaSalle, University of Bordeaux, Bordeaux Sciences Agro, and The Alliance Agri Avenir Chair.
The objective of the mission trip is to learn how family-owned agribusinesses in France are coping with the challenges of sustainability and climate change and to explore potential collaborations and opportunities during the mission trip.
